Karen Chance's Cassie Palmer series is funny, witty and amazingly written. The Iron Fey series by Julie Kagawa is also a really good series. She has really done her research into fairy lore and has built an amazing world with it. Shifter series by Rachel Vincent. Kick-ass female character who knows how to handle herself in a fight, both physically and politically. Guild Hunter series by Nalini Singh. An interesting retake to the whole vampire lore and linking it with Angels. Another kick-ass female character that has a lot baggage but still manages to live though it. Hush Hush series by Becca Fitzpatrick. Amazing series, amazing characters and just general awesomeness. Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare. Amazing characters, and world building and also just general awesomeness. Lumatere Chronicles. Amazing character and world development. Wicked Lovely series by Melissa Marr. Another one with fairies, but the world development and character development is completely different to Iron Fey by Julie Kagawa. You think I would add a paragraph here or there, but no. The Fallen Moon series by K.J. Taylor. This is an interesting series because the main character, who you root for, is actually viewed as the bad guy in the bookworld. This story is so unique and interesting that it gives a fresh view on fantasy. If I Stay and Where She Went. Some of the most amazingly, beautiful and tragic books I have ever read. Am right now doing the rounds with my friends, trying to get them to read it. One of them has, and she loved it. XVI and Truth but Julie Karr are a fresh and new look on the whole dystopian society. Was really refreshing to read, but also gave me dark and evil thoughts about how society is run, but I quickly got over that.
Hope this hopes. I only suggest the good and the best.
